21 Mar USCIS Will Suspend Premium Processing for Fiscal Year 2019 H-1B Cap Petitions
USCIS just announced that starting April 2, 2018, it will temporarily suspend premium processing for all Fiscal Year 2019 H-1B Cap petitions. USCIS stated that the temporary suspension will help it reduce overall H-1B processing times by allowing it to process long-pending petitions and prioritize the adjudication of H-1B extension of status cases that have been pending close to 240 days.
The temporary suspension only applies to cap-subject fiscal year 2019 H-1B petitions. USCIS will continue to accept premium processing requests for H-1B extensions and change of employer requests.
