30 Nov USCIS Proposes Changes to H-1B Visa Lottery Process
USCIS just released an advance copy of proposed regulations (scheduled to be published on December 3, 2018) which calls for changes to the way employers file H-1B cap cases, also known as Fiscal Year H-1B petitions. After the proposed regulations are published on December 3rd, USCIS will accept feedback from the public for a period of 30 days. USCIS will then review and respond to comments before issuing the final regulations. USCIS announced today that it hopes to have the new system in place for the 2020 cap season, however also stated that it might delay the pre-registration process if there is “insufficient time to implement the new registration system” or in case of “technical challenges with the H-1B registration process.”
Veera Law will continue to monitor the proposed changes and share any developments on our website.
